Fabulous Camp

Can you guess how many tents were set up on Point England school’s field? If you guessed 56 you are right indeed. Approximately 165 kids came to the year 5, 6 camp at Point England school.

The part that I was most looking forward to was swimming, but guess what that wasn’t what I was really looking forward to. I was actually looking forward to kayaking. I really

enjoyed it, this was my first time going on a single kayak it was ENJOYABLE!

One incident that Raeleen, Kaycee and I thought that was really funny, was when someone kept on farting. One of the teachers said to a student “shh do you want to run around the field 10 times”. It was hilarious.

My goal for camp was to be brave when I'm on a kayak, I had a bad feeling about kayaking. Do you think I achieved my goal? I think I did!

I felt so happy when camp was over because, I wanted to sleep on something comfortable. I don't like sleeping on something that is hard and, harms my back.

Net-ball

Key:
Wd=Wing defense
Wa=Wing attack
Gs=Goal shoot
Gk=Goal keeper
Ga=Goal attack
Gd=Goal defense

I have been reading a story called Team Work. I have made a net-ball court that shows you where the positions are.

Kayaking

Can you guess what my favorite activity was at camp? Well if you guessed kayaking you are right.

I like kayaking because I recon it is fun, Dhara and I was on the same kayak until, Mr Burt said that we had to go on a single kayak. When I first went on the single kayak I was panicking, I thought that I was going fall into the water.

Suddenly I said to myself " this is actually fun". So I kept on paddling and paddling until I had to hop off the kayak. I didn't want to leave but, we had to.

Year 5 And 6 Camp

There are only 2 more sleeps until the year 5, 6 camp.

The activity that I am most looking forward to is swimming. I'm looking forward to it because, the year 7's and 8's are not going to be coming with us, YES!

One thing that I am most anxious about is kayaking. I'm seriously anxious about kayaking because last year Mr Meloy almost tipped the kayak over, with me and Quziyah in it.

Friday

Finally it was Friday YES! I shouted. On Friday we had a teacher called Miss Gillingham she was our teacher until lunch time. We done heaps of cool things with her

After lunch we had Miss Muliamausialii as our teacher, she is an art teacher and is really creative. We finished off our Vision Boards whitch shows people what our goal is and what we want to do or be in the future.

Thursday

Thursday a relaxing day. Just doing normal stuff that we do, like reading, writing and maths. Its really cool.

After school I got home then sat down on my bed. I was so tired that I fell asleep, even though I didn’t really have a big day. Normally I get home and play or read or even do some maths but I didn’t.

Wednesday

On Wednesday morning it was totally different. We had to go to Cricket. For me it was a little bit boring and not that exciting, we were practicing the pool ball trick, I really liked it.

We normally have I.C.T and music. But.... with all the test going on its been really really BORING! We couldn’t even go to I.C.T and music.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I woke up, got ready for school, then had something to eat. When I got to school I just remembered that we had a test, when the second bell went we grabbed our pencils and our chairs then walked down to the hall. After all that thinking and trying to get your brain working we walked back to class and it was morning tea time. “YES!” I said

While I was having a great time I said“NO!”(morning tea time was over). We lined up then walked inside, after a couple of minutes we played a game called around the world, it was a really cool game to play. Next Whaea Raewyn walked in and we started practicing some words in Maori. Saying goodbye to Whae Raywyn the bell decided to ring YES!

A Week In The Life Of Taeshell A Year 6 Student

Every Monday morning I wake up at 6.30am or 7.00am, I’m always waking up feeling half asleep. I get up, get changed and have breakfast, by the time I finish my breakfast it’s time to walk to school. As soon as my sisters and I get there the second bell rings. At class (room 17) normally our first subject is writing, then reading and then the bell rings for morning tea.

After morning tea we have quick 20, then we go to the Library, we have to get 2 book’s (one to read at school and one to read at home). When we come back from the Library we have lunch, for most people lunch is their favourite thing at school. After playing and eating we finish off our work that we couldn’t finish before morning tea time, when we finish that we sometimes have a little game just before home-time.
